Tours of the Town Hall Clock Tower
Celebrate Town Hall's 150th Birthday
Sunday, September 10th, 12 - 3 during the Tomato Festival
Come visit Town Hall and take a tour of the historic clock tower with its fascinating mechanism that operates the hands on the clock faces. Known as the Stevens Town Clock, it was already in place by 1874.
The recently refurbished fog bell striker will make is debut in the Public Hall. Remarkably, it once was located in the belfry of the Congregational Church Meetinghouse. The Stevens Clock mechanism was connected to the bell striker and powered it to ring the Church's Paul Revere bell on the hour.
